Our New Blog Member Introduction

JK Rowling, Laurie Halse Anderson and Stephen King all backed out at the very last second, everyone. Yes, we are as surprised as you all are.

So did John Steinbeck.

Anyway.

The award winning haiku comes from me, Carol. Here it is. Within the lines of the poem you will (possibly) be able to figure out who our new blog member is.

You want a contest? I’ll give you a contest.

I will sponsor a book giveaway–a signed book by our new blog partner–for anyone who guesses accurately AND writes a haiku in honor of this individual. Haikus are important and have a lot to do with this blog.

I should write about how I know this person and how this person is so famous it’s almost awkward and how one time at a fancy dinner this person embarrassed me and I had to act like I didn’t care and I was super cool even though I kept spilling water and talking with salad in my mouth. I should write about their books and how one of them sparked a heated and amazing discussion between me and a couple of friends that lasted late into the night. I should write how this person is intimidating for a few reasons but not intimidating for many more. I should write a lot of things but I don’t want to give anything away.

So just throw out some names and haikus and lets see what we get.

You won’t be disappointed. I promise.

So Ann Dee says to me when we’re talking the other day, We need another person to help us with our blog.

Thursday Night

I am actually writing this before bed once. Probably because ever since I started taking my sleeping pills I haven’t been able to get out of bed before 12:00. And that isn’t good for a Friday morning post.

So, I applied for four jobs in the past two days. One of them are bound to call me. . . right? Ugh. I don’t know. That’s not what the post is about.

I watched two movies tonight with my boyfriend. He of course fell asleep ten seconds into the second one. {The Book of Eli. Which by the way I suggest you all watch. Freaking awesome!}

The other movie was based on a novel. The movie was called Perfume. It had a giant orgy at the end. Everything else was good. Probably because Alan Rickman was in it. {He kicks a butt.}

While watching these two movies that had to do with books in someway, it made me think of a post.

I would say The Sky is Everywhere…but that would be just one of those movies where you wished there was an actor as good as Jandy’s writing.
I don’t think that makes sense……OH WELL.

There are a million. Sorry I didn’t put in a lot of fantasy novels. . .most of those are made into movies anyway :p
