Kyra Leigh, Queen Bee

Kyra here,
Congrats to Ilima! Proof that working hard, having a good attitude, and patience, pays off!
Just keep working hard, everyone!

Tonight I am doing my weekly writing session with Mom. {Last week was cut short, but I still got a good amount on the page. Not sure if it was GOOD, but it’s still on the page!}

The summer is coming to an end. I can feel it. Me and my friend have been going on these night hikes, and it kind of makes me sad. Pretty soon the snow will be here, and I”ll have to lock myself in my house and never leave. But I got to see the Blue Moon last night. Bright as heck!

My sister and I are trying to gather up the courage to move to Oregon.
Does anyone know anything about that area?
I’m not sure what that has to do with my writing except, I hope I can get this novel done before the year ends. Before I move, and just before the new year.
I will use Ilima to inspire me to writewritewrite!

I know Ann Dee posted on Good News Tuesday. But I have Good News on this Wednesday. And that is Lady Gaga is coming out with a new album. I get to see Mom and Olive and Nina and Cait {and even Gma} tonight. And I got to drink a glass of carrot juice for breakfast.

Now I better write on.

I can’t believe you announced that you are planning to MOVE to Oregon on the blog. And didn’t tell me.

The BITH revealeth herselth! I know you talked about it a little. Sort of. But why there?

  2. I’ve always wanted to go to Oregon to search for Big Foot. No really. That must be the reason Kyra wants to move there. Wouldn’t that make a great book? The search for Big Foot! And the main character can fall in love with a harry beast once she sees he has a giant, secret library. Oh, wait, that’s Beauty and the Beast.

I served my mission in Portland. It’s a beautiful state. Rains a lot– the rain is like a mist. It doesn’t usually down pour. Politically liberal. Very organic/ green state. A cultural mixing pot. Loved every minute of it. If you have any questions feel free to email me. I loved Oregon.

  4. Oregon coast is nice. Not sure I could handle the rain they have up there, all year long.

LOVE the coast! There’s a funny little town somewhere about mid-state on the coast called Yachats (pronounced YAH-HOTS I think). It was quaint, like a somewhat run-down beach community. A lady in a gift shop got talking to me once and found out I was writing fantasy. She invited me to come the next night to her Witches Coven Meeting. Too bad we were leaving the next a.m. ! Of course, that was years ago, so………..it’s even more dilapidated now that it was, or it’s completely renovated, boring and expensive!

  6. You guys make this place sound perfect for me! I love the rain, and Witches Coven Meetings ! 😉

    Thanks for the comments!

  7. Thanks, Kyra. I love your good news. And good luck on finishing your novel…you can do it!
