Krya Leigh, Queen Bee AND Day of Accountability

How are you doing on your writing out of plot ideas?

So far so good?

How did your writing week go?

Let us know.

KYRA NOW!

I was late on Wednesday and I’m sorry.
But I have been back to my old ways. Reading books!
SIDENOTE! Was everyone excited to see that Meg Rosoff got that NBA nomination? {Picture Me Gone} She’s a fantastic writer! {Also can’t wait to see How I Live Now on the big screen this year!}
 And congrats to all the others as well. Lots of books to put on my to-read list.
But.
Last week I read a classic novel.
One I’ve been in love with since I was a very young girl.
Randy Powell’s Is Kissing a Girl Who Smokes Like Licking an Ashtray?
Even after 13 years, the books is as good as it always was.
KAGWSLLAA {what a mouth full!} is just about the perfect YA novel.
It’s a light read, it’s hilarious {I still laugh out loud at some of the lines} and it’s extremely well-written. I highly recommend it. {Not to mention Randy Powell is one of the nicest authors I’ve ever met. NOTE FROM CAROL: We should tell you sometime what happened when Kyra and I went to pick Randy up from the airport.}
Re-reading this book makes me remember WHY I want to write. It’s the book that got me into books, reading, writing, and all that jazz.
It inspired me. And if it doesn’t inspire you to write, or smoke, at least you’ll have read a novel that is just plain enjoyable.
Three cheers for Is Kissing a Girl Who Smokes Like Licking an Ashtray?! Buy it on Amazon, or go to your library! You won’t regret it!
