Three Things Thursday

1. Got your goals?

Write them down.

Maybe not do a hundred + like I do every year.

2. If you could be a full-time writer, what would you do? How would you spend your day? What if you didn’t make enough money to live on (like many full-time writers)? How would you plan to make extra money?

3. Almost time to sign up for Writing and Illustrating for Young Readers!

    2014 Writing Goals:

    Read 100 books this year
Finish writing two books—AT LEAST one of them sent to agent &/or publisher
Submit at least one non-fiction piece for at least 10 of the 12 months

    As a full-time writer I will:
Write fiction, non-fiction or blogs at least 20 hrs / week
Read an average of at least two books a week
Attempt to finish one major project at a time before launching into the next
Prepare lesson materials well in advance of classes
Work to return edited materials to clients quickly
Offer one hour free consultation at the completion of major editing jobs

And, of course, I’ll give up chocolate and other sweets, lose 70 lbs, reinvent my workout schedule, and eat WAY more fruits and vegies . . . but you can’t hold me to those goals because at the head of this page you’ll note these are my 214 WRITING goals, so these last bits won’t count! 🙂
