Time is Short . . . Have an Affair.

I keep getting these ads. Yup. You know what I’m talking about if you have followed this blog at all.

Time is short. There’s so much to do. So many books I want to write (I came up with another idea that I am excited about), so many moments I want to spend with my girls. So many expectations. Several speaking gigs before the conference (www.wifyr.com), including one out of state.

I find myself wondering how much thinner I can spread myself.

And it seems I simply don’t have time for an affair. Not right now, at least. It’s February 3 already. I have set some high writing goals for myself. And also some bike riding goals. And scripture reading goals. And time with my girl goals.

How do I do all that I want and do it well?

I must put my energies where they count most. That includes an end-of-the-month dinner.  So who’s up for it? Ann Dee and I talked about having a get together every quarter. It’s a new year. Let’s dine!

And we can’t forget this is Romance Novel Writing Month.

So for today, brainstorm for 20 minutes. Come up with a loose plot for a romance novel. Jot down all the ideas you can for this book. You may need to do some romance research.  I watched Sex Sent Me to the ER yesterday. With my mother.

Research.

Hey. Maybe I need to reconsider the affair.

. . .

. . .

Nope. No time.
